The Company was founded in 1987 by Liz Walker and Gavin Glover. 'Back then they combined their experience of working with puppets at the Little Angel Marionette Theatre, London, their interest in 3D film animation (Jan Svankmejer, Quay Brothers) automata (Paul Spooner), mechanical and scrap sculpture (Tinguely) and mime to produce a bizarre puppet theatre for adults.'
Surreal adult puppetry - haunting visual theatre, automated sets, strange animated figures, cronked inventions and macabre humour.

'aims: to re-define puppetry as an art form that can provoke and inspire an adult audience; to create theatre that is new and surprising; to produce theatre that plays to all the senses, that is rich in texture and meaning and has a real sense of fun. An OPML world ouline such as this allows distributed data entry. If you of your puppet company, for example, had their own OPML outline file, and it was added to this outline as an inclusion, whenever you changed your file the changes would be reflected in this outline. This means that if you wished to add tour date information, for example, everytime you updated your information it would automatically be updated here if your file was included here. Please see Dave Winer's OPML Editor support page to read more about this, and download the OPML editor.
Please email Hil if you would like information added or corrected or if you would like an OPML inclusion made to the outline. This list reflects my interest in puppetry as artform, rather than commercial venture.
